Casual Furniture World in Winston Salem, NC held the first annual NC Eggfest in 2010 and most folks thought it was a pretty good effort for a 1st try. I certainly enjoyed it. They attempted to hold the 2nd Annual NC Eggfest last year but ran into scheduling conflicts with Mother's Day and didn't get the numbers needed to hold it.
They are currently seeking input/support on this years event. They are on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Carolina-EggFest/380533354413?ref=ts and have announced that it will be held August 25th. Their web page is http://www.casualfurnitureworld.com/EggFest.html, but they haven't updated it yet.
This is good news for Tarheels!

VERY COOL! Will plan on the pilgrimage from the coast. Not sure I can transport the 200# egg and table. What do most folks do that travel a ways....other than drink, eat and watch other folks cook on their BGE? Not that I am complaining mind you.

DOCED, if you want to cook at an Eggfest, all you have to do is sign up. The dealer provides the Eggs for the cooks, and then those Eggs become the demos that are sold at a discount. Usually, all the cook has to do is bring the food and any tools, serving items, etc.
