Simple table for large egg

Looked at the tables in the store and they wanted way too much money :-)  I built this table out of cypress for about $130.  I used pecky cypress for the side rails to add a little character.

Built the table to the dimensions of a "standard" BGE table to I could buy an off-the-shelf BGE cover.  btw... BGE table plans say 17" from top shelf to bottom for large egg.  Spring loaded hinge actually makes it 16".

Plan to add drawers later.

Looks great!  I really like the two different stains you applied.  I just finished my table a few weeks ago.  You're gonna love the extra counter space.

Wow, very nice. Did you cut out around the stone on the bottom? If so, what is the stone sitting on?

Very nice looking table! Are sure about those measurements from top to bottom. Doesn't sound accurate.
