Pecan Wood
Options
I have several large chunks of the above. I have left it outside for months. Some kind of fungus has "grown" on the wood. Is there anything I can do to salvage this wood? I appreciate your help.

I would just cut the fungus off and go. Use it on chicken and turkeky all the time. Sometimes mix a little pecan and cherry togather. VERY LITTLE wood on chicken please.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.
