Bacon Burgers

Tried something new tonight...had our butcher make some bacon burgers...2/3 ground chuck mixed with 1/3 ground bacon.

Cooked like regular burgers at about 400 dome on cast iron grill for 3 minutes per side to 140+ degrees meat temp.

They were outstanding.  I ate my first without a bun or any condiments at all.  Lots of bacon flavor, juicy despite being more well done than normal burgers...Started the second with some cheese, but took it off halfway through because I wanted the bacon burger taste by itself.

We have a new favorite burger at our house...although I'll wait a while to have my cholesterol checked.
