Where to buy a Big Green Egg

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
I am getting closer to being able to get a Large Big Green Egg. But the question then arrises - where to get it from?[p]There are some local places that stock some BGE items, but haven't found any place that stocks the Large BGE. Also, if bought locally, getting it home might be troublesome.[p]Thus, was thinking online I might get a better deal, and have it delievered. But, with the weight, it might be better to get locally and get a friend with a truck to help bring it home.[p]So, I am looking for suggestions on which whould be the best way - and place - to get a BGE.[p]I am in San Carlos, CA (94070) if that makes any diffrence.[p]Thanks,
David Genrich[p]

David Genrich,[p]At the top of this page is a field where you can enter your zip code and submit and it will return a list of the nearest dealers to you...[p]Tonia

    David Genrich,
Tonia just gave you the best info - now add to that by posting an appeal here with CA in the subject line. There are several CA eggers here. As for delivery - at least in the rest of the states - that's part of the deal - the dealer delivers! There is a large mark up so don't think for a minute you're imposing on them! If at all possible ask around about the store's reputation. Even a discussion with sales clerks can expose the service attitude to BGEs. Good Luck!

  • David Genrich,Go with what RRP said. I have seen folks put them in the back seat of a car and in parts you can handle it easy but you might want to get the base, top, and hinge put together by the dealer. Agood dealer is a must if possible.
    Good Luck,

David Genrich,[p]I live in the South Bay, The only dealer around here is BBQ galore. They sell it, but I got it much cheaper and delivered by ordering it online. [p]Gregg

    David Genrich,
I bought my large BGE about 5 years ago. I had a Chevy Blazer back then. I laid it on it's side wedge in so it wouldn't move. It took two people to load and unload. Be careful moving your egg on concrete. It tips very easy and then it becomes useless. that's my 2 cents worth.
