Daisy wheel inprovement

I was tired of re setting the daisy wheel everytime I opened my egg. No matter which way I turned it, it always seemed to move a little bit and throw off my temp. Machined up these brass knurled finger screws.....holds in position just fine.(use gloves or towel with high heat) If you have a freind that is a machinist or tool and die maker, very simple to make.

Once you learn the secret handshake, you don't need something like that: How to keep the daisy wheel from moving.

Whay Cool!! I have not learned the secrect handshake either. What would it take to get a set of those made??

Thank you for the info Naked Whiz. Even with the wheel turned like explained, I still had some movement from time to time. That won't happen now. Smoker_Guru if you want a pair PM.me. I still have the program in my CNC lathe, I can make them in about 45 mins.

Canoeandcue, I'm new to this forum posting but I think I sent you a PM.

I fixed mine by placing a split washer against the daisy wheel, then the regular washer that comes with it and then the screw. Works very well !.

Gravity method works just fine for this newby ... open & close slowly & gently!Never eat anything passed through a window unless you're a seagull ... BGE Lg.

If you line up the screws, it won't move at all (especially after you have a year of gunk on it!).
canoeandcue, nice work though, that's a pretty cool modification.
