ANYBODY HAVE ANY ADVICE?

I just used my BGE for first time in a year...and had a disastor. AFTER getting fire going and putting turkey in....first time I lifted lid, noticed the black band came loose (screws appear to be missing)....to the extent I could not lift the lid.  In jiggling it trying to get the band back on....it came completely loose. With it being so hot....I was in for trouble.

 

Was able to take band off completely and lift entire top off (without breaking the ceramic top).  Then I was able ot move the entire turkey to oven. 

 

Does anybody have any good ideas as to who might work on BGE's in Phoenix AZ
