Chicken Pot Pie help.

Im a newbie so I tried to fix a Chicken Pot Pie in my dutch oven on 350. Rolled out some criossants for my topping and after 45 minutes the top was nice and golden but still doughy under the top layer. So cooked another 20 minutes and had to pull off due to top getting to brown but still a little doughy. The inside got a little dry since I cooked it so long. I would be thankful if any suggestions were made. BTW the golden topping had the best smoke flavor!!
