New to the forum

New to the group and new to BGE. I have been using a Weber Performer,
22.5” One Touch, Smokey Joe, and Smokey Mountain for all my grilling needs.
Wife recently purchased the Large BGE for me and after two cooks I moved the
Webers to the other side of the patio and built a table. I am eager to start
trying out some new BGE Recipe and Cooks; any suggestions to a new BGE user are
welcomed.

BGE does it all so well. Make one of your fav's off of the Performer or the SM, compare the cooks. The people are a wealth of knowledge for you, just ask. We've all had the short learning curve. My deck now is just eggs. 

Remember to let the lump burn clean!

I have been using a Weber Performer,
22.5” One Touch, Smokey Joe, and Smokey Mountain for all my grilling needs. 

I used a Smokey Mountain for 8 years before I switched to a XL last summer.  I switched because the BGE handles unfavorable weather (wind, rain, blizzards, freezing temps, etc.) much better and I do a lot of winter cooking (Wisconsin).  Very happy with the switch.  I sold all my other grills.

Thanks for the responses and links, I will definitely be checking those out. Already did a whole chicken and some of the best steaks I have ever had. Loving the switch. Anyone know a good place to sell a couple webers?

Anyone know a good place to sell a couple webers?

Took mine into work as our office is in an 1890's Victorian house.  If somebody is slow and the weather nice, they get BBQ duty and have to go get food and make lunch.  If it is a light day for most of us, the food run includes a couple six packs.
