My New Egg & Table
yellowdogbbq
Posts: 389
I finally finished my table and had my first BBQ on my new EGG. I butterflied a chicken and put some Slap Your Mama on it as a dry rub. Cooked with indirect heat at 350 for 1.5 hrs. Man did it turn out great! I was skeptical of all the claims about the EGG but I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Thanks again to The Whiz for the table plans and help.

Just paste the link http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k558/1maddap/BGE/IMG_0158.jpg into the pop up box you get when you click the insert image button ( it's on the top right)

Thanks for the help Navigator, never posted pictures before. Found out the table was to heavy to move when I got done building it, so I added the 10 inch pneumatic casters (gives it a 4x4 look).

yellowdogbbq - did you use blueprints or just build it freestyle? Where'd you find the tires. I'm wanting to build an off-road table myself so I can get it in and out of the shed easily. The nest's tires are way too small. Thanks.

Is that the naked whiz table? Looks just like it. If it is, how hard really was it?
And the chicken....indirect...how was the skin? Crispy still? I've only done diirect so far.Just bought an Egg? Here is what you get to look forward to now:
Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night. Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

I modified the Naked -whiz plans a little but that's the basic design. The tires came from Harbor Freight. The chicken came out great but over the years I've switched to raised direct for my chicken cooks. The skin was very crispy for the record.
