GREEN EGG DOWN!!!

I had a storm blow through with some strong winds.  It blew my EGG and table right off my deck.  (table is on wheels). My wife watched it blow right off the deck.  I was sure I would be picking up ceramic pieces after the storm passed. I had the plate setter and pizza stone inside but the only thing that broke was the top fire ring!

The EGG is built unbelievably well.

    Good news!

(That it's okay, not that it fell!). :)
  • Still cost me a couple hundred $ to fix my railing.
  • Wow, I hate to see an "Egg-Down".

WOW! You must be living right...you dodged one there. That must have been some wind.

  • Wow, that was one helluva wind. I would cry if I saw that happen to me! The good news is that you can likely fix that fire ring with JB Weld. My buddy dropped my plate setter and snapped a leg off of it. Picked up the JB Weld at the hardware store and it is good as new. I even torched the plate setter at 700 degrees to make sure that anything bad would burn off of it.
  • We face a lake with about 15 miles of open water in front of us.   The wind probably hit 70mph.  I got the fire ring replaced for free!
