Theres a guy that posts on Atlanta Craigslist and sells all a bunch of different types of wood (Apple, peach, fig, white oak, red oak, walnut, persimon, and several more) at good prices. Its $10 a box except $15 for apple. He lives over in Lawrencville and has chips and will also cut into 3" or 6" chunks. His name is Joe and his number is 770-403-3469 if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the info Lit. I book marked the info. I have been looking to try some persimmon and peach wood. I also want to try sassafras and guava wood. Anybody have any experience with those woods?

I've just read Myron Mixon's new BBQ book, and he uses peach exclusively.  Utard actually has quite a few peach orchards just north of here, I may have to do some wood inquiries...
