Sorta OT - Grilled Vietnamese Mudfish

I'm watching a Vietnamese cooking show on one of the cooking channels, and the host took a live Vietnamese mudfish, about 15" long, slid a fresh bamboo stick into its mouth and pierced it all the way through, then pushed the end of the stick into the ground, fish mouth-side-up.  He then filled its mouth with water (to help steam it) and then made about a 2' high pile of dried grasses around it, and lit the pile.  When it finished burning, he pulled the stake, peeled off the burned skin, and ate his "Mudfish-on-a-Stick"!
No Egg used, but I got a chuckle out of it, and it was certainly more appetizing than the "Deep-Fried-Butter-on-a-Stick" that was such a hit at the Iowa State Fair this year...
