buying another large to bring up to the camp and they are giving me a nice deal with a small egg included to stay at home. before i call to see whats included, whats the standard package with the small, daisy spring band, grids, stainless draft?

    fishlessman,[p]I just picked up a small on Monday. All it came with was daisy wheel, rain cap, thermometer and the infamous video and cook book.[p]It was also assembled since it was the last small in stock and I noticed that it does have the spring hinge as well as the stainless vent.[p]brews,

    You will not be disappointed. The small does a great Job at searing steaks because the fire is simply closer to the meat. Besides, if you are cooking for a two people you will hardly use any charcoal.[p]The small also does a great job at one rack of ribs. I roll them up and stand them directly on the grill. Walk away for 5.5 hours and come back and you are ready to eat. No flipping needed.[p]Hope this helps,

    Got my small last September. Came with spring hinge, daisy, nest, 20lb bag of bge lump, bge thermometer and ash tool. Also valuable video and cookbook. I like it. Fills up with ash pretty fast so you have to clean out regularly if you want to hit higher temps. But, it also heats up fast so if you have had a long day and want a quick meal before going fishing it'll do the trick. Does low and slow too, and with a stone it has become my experimental bread cooker.

    fishlessman,[p]That there barter thing does work. The reason why I didn't get the traditional bag of BGE lump with my small is because I had haggled with them. They were asking $450 for the small and I told them that I had found another dealer north of Omaha who would give it to me for $320. They matched the price (which I hope is a decent one) but they wouldn't throw in the coal...[p]brews,

    Make sure they give you the steel grate for the bottom. The ceramic one does not allow enough air flow in my opinion. I got the steel one and now I love lil humpty.

    I got a small Tuesday.[p]Came with rain cap, sliding metal cap, thermometer (and with a slanted hole for the thermometer - RRP), porcelain coated grid, cast iron bottom grate, stainless steel intake, ceramic legs and spring hinge. And the cookbook and video.[p]The metal top, thermometer and video were not in the shipping container, the dealer gave them to me seperatly.[p]That came to $350 with a bag of BGE lump thown in.[p]Toy Man
