How to Access Old Posts

This new format is interesting, I'm holding out opinion until I get used to it a little more.  My question is, how do we access old posts?  I had some bookmarked and when I go to that bookmark on my browser, it simply puts me into the main forum page, not the old post that I was trying to get to.
Has anyone figured out how to get to the old posts, other than searching?
