Back arrow not working

Is there a reason why the IE back arrow (above File, in upper left corner) does not work ?  After I choose a topic to read, I keep trying to click the back arrow (out of habit) and it won't take me anywhere.  The blue circle next to EGGhead Forum spins a bit and then stops and puts the e back.  I have to scroll around to get to the words
