Lamb Burgers with Hummus

Pat
Pat Posts: 1
edited November -1 in Lamb

Ingredients

1 egg, 2 tbsp water, 1 small onion (grated), 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley, 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1 clove garlic (minced), 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 lb ground lamb.

Instructions

In large bowl, beat egg with water, stir in onion, parsley, bread crumbs, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper; mix in lamb.  Shape into patties.

Get the BGE up around 425, and cook the patties until they're about 160F (71C)....takes about 18 minutes.

Serve with hummus on top, leave the ketchup, mustard and relish in the fridge.

You can go fancy on it with alfalfa sprouts and serve it on focaccia, but I've found the burger and hummus are perfect on their own.

Notes

Number of Servings: 4-6 burgers
