Ingredients

  • 1 cup oil wesson, corn or canola
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 2 cup yellow corn meal or grits
  • 1 small can cream style corn
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbls sugar

Instructions

Mix all the dry ingredients. Add the Eggs, oil, sour cream, mix again. Bake in well oiled 10-12 inch cast iron skillet for 30-35 minutes. Use platesetter in Egg.

Optional: add chopped Jalapeno, green pepper, or apple tidbits for color & flavor. We roll apple bits in cinnamon-sugar mix.
