White smoked chicken chili

2 medium onions, chopped
1 tbs oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 cans chopped green chilis
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp ground cloves
2 cans – 14 ½ ounces – chicken broth
4 cups cubed cooked chicken
3 cans – 14 ½ ounces - great northern beans
2 cups shredded mont. Jack cheese
sour cream and jalapeños optional


in 3 quart saucepan saute onions

stir in garlic, chilis, cumin, oregano, cayenne and cloves

cook and stir 3 min more

add broth, chicken, and beans

simmer, uncovered 15 min

remove heat, stir in cheese

garnish with sour cream and JPs
