Great Chili

Ingredients
• 2 Tbs Salad Oil | • ¼ tsp chili powder |
• 2 ½ lb Lean beef chuck (cubed) or Ground chuck | • 1 ½ tsp ground cumin |
• 1 Can Good Beer | • 1 tsp salt |
• 1 ½ Cup Water | • ½ tsp crushed oregano leaves |
• 1 Can 8 oz whole tomatoes (crushed) | • ½ tsp crushed garlic |
• 1 Cup 8 oz tomato sauce | • ½ tsp paprika |
• 1 Can 4 oz chopped green chillies (undrained) | • ½ tsp black ground pepper |
• ½ Cup chopped green bell pepper | • 1/8 tsp red ground pepper |
• ½ Cup chopped onions |
Instructions
In a large pot, heat oil and brown meat well on all sides. Drain and add all other ingredients. Bring pot to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Stir occasionally and add a little water if needed. Simmer for 3 hours before serving. Really good if you let it sit in the fridge over night and re-heat the next day.Notes
