Beer Chicken

Ingredients

• 1 3-4lb whole chicken
• 1 12oz can beer
• 3 tbls favorite dry rub

Instructions

Lightly coat the chicken in your favorite dry rub.
Discard (by your favorite method) &#189 the beer.
Put the 3 tbls of rub in the remainder of the beer.
Slide chicken over the beer so as to sit in an upright position.


Prepare Egg to cook at 225°.
Add your favorite soaked wood chips or chunks(sugar maple is excellent) to the coals.
Cook for 3 to 3½ hours, or until you can 'shake hands' with the bird. The legs should move freely. The internal temperature should be 175° to 180°.
