i just picked a 11 lb packer and was gonna put this on either late tonight or first thing in the AM. my only other brisket was ok but i didn't care for the rub recipe that i used. I have prolly about 20 recipes for different rubs but if there is one that you use exclusive for brisket i would love to borrow it. TIA[p]Scott

eggor,[p]No matter what I try, I keep coming back to Elder Ward's. Look under recipes here and then under beef. It's a peppery style, so if you want a little milder then cut down on some of the pepper. I like the heat. I just can't find anything that beats it. The bark is great, the flavor of the meat is great, and that's the way it is![p]mShark

eggor,[p]Sea salt, black pepper & garlic powder is a good place to start but here is one that is not bad. [p]1 c. salt
    ¼ cup garlic powder
    ¼ cup onion powder
    1/8 cup ground thyme
    1/8 cup ground bay
    1/8 cup black pepper
    1/8 cup celery seed
    1/8 cup Hungarian paprika.[p]~thirdeye~
