Eggers,
Happy Friday. I have 4 racks of baby backs that I WANT to cook on my 2 small eggs tomorrow. I'm not cooking at home, so I can't use the large. I have to cut them in half, so that gives me 4 half racks per egg. I don't have rib racks or time to look for any.[p] My inital thought is to use 1/3 fire bricks to hold up 3 half racks and put the last rack on top. Anything wrong with that? [p] Any better ideas? [p] Punt?[p] Thanks, Scott

Borders,[p]Could you roll them? Use a bamboo skewer to hold them together. I've never done it but have seen it done.[p]

Borders,[p]I haven't cooked ribs on the egg yet, but I always stack mine three high and move the bottom rack to the top about every 30-45 min.

Borders,[p]Just take the large...[p]BOB

BobinFla, Hey Buddy! You're funny. I'm not being lazy, I'm cooking my a** off. I'm doing three 7 pound butts on the large starting tonight. Thus, the large will still be real hot when I leave for the party tomorrow.

Borders,
Oh! Ok...[p]Where's that picture of 20 racks of ribs, packed pretty well, standing on edge, in a large? I bet that method would work on the small.[p]BOB
I think the picture I'm thinking of was posted by one of the eggers that uses the "Chef..." name (I can't remember which one).

BobinFla, Right. I know I've seen some smart ideas, just cant remember where.
By the way, we missed you in Ocala Bob.

Borders,
I was busy that weekend learning to be a FBA Barbecue judge at a class with the Baron of Barbecue teaching a cooking class. There was lots of good barbecue cooked in that class for us to test our newly learned judging skills.[p]BOB
ps, that picture (up there ^ posted by Chef Wil) in this thread is the one I was thinking about.
