I'm torn between the two pit temp controllers. I just need temp control. Have a maverick to look over the meat. Any recommendations?

I have the Auber and it works well. Was able to pick one up last year during their end of the clearance for $99. I recommend it for a basic temp controller.

I have the ique 110. While it does a great job holding temp, it seems to consume way more fuel in the process. I don't know if that is similar to other controllers or not as I don't have anything to compare it to.

They both work well. I think you have to just compare the features and pick one that meets your needs. If you want dead simple, you probably want the iQue 110. If you want a digital readout, the ability to use different probes, etc. you may want the Auber. I assume you have read the reviews of both units? Reviews of Temperature Controllers Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback - I appreciate it. I do like the digital display in order to see what the real temp is instead of a plus or minus of 10 degrees.
