Pork shoulder advice

Need some good advice for a couple pork shoulders i'm preparing for my wife's 30th birthday party. I've done a couple shoulder's over my Egg'n career and can't find a happy medium. I like spicier bbq, but my audience usually consists of a bunch of ham n eggers and don't get as excited about layers and layers of flavor. I, unfortunately, have a high opinion of myself and failure is not an option. I want jaws dropping and clothes coming off so I am calling on the brightest minds the bbq'n world has seen...the EggHead forum.
Sincerely,
Big Sleezy

Why not do one with plowboys--mix with blues hog and one with dizzy swamp venom--mix with bone sucking hot. Give the crowd a choice
