Well, after only a week, I am already cooking a couple of butts that will go to another friendly home besides mine for consumption. They tried some pulled pork and wanted to know if they bought the meat if I would cook it for them.[p]
How often do you find yourselves cooking for others. I don't mind as I love cooking and it gives me a chance to improve my knowledge of egg cooking.

MasterMason,[p]I would guess that about 1/3 of what i cook is for others. I make about 6 butts a month not for me but for friends/family/anyone that brings the meat and five bucks for "costs." I love cooking, learning more and the smiles from them as well as the "it's the best _____ I've ever had." [p]It's not me though, folks. It's the egg.

MasterMason,
Ever since I brought some of Q-Babes meatloaf in a few weeks ago, I have been cooking 3 loafs on Sunday night for my office to eat through the week. They love the egg, and I have almost got them convinced to pitch in for an egg for the office. I would just buy it, but I believe that if they pitch in, they will be more likely to get involved with cooking on it, and then more likely to buy one for their homes. This thing impresses everybody that eats food off of it. Period.

MasterMason,
When I was in AZ. I loved egg-en butts for the neighbors. They also offered to buy the meat if I would "please cook it for em" They had eaten pulled pork before but never like what I was giving them. (Thanks to the good folks here on the forum)
I lived on a one block cul de sac and they all knew when I was cooking because of the onion or two mixed in the lump when doing an over nighter.[p]Good Luck,

Hmmm.. Onion in the lump? That sounds very interesting, how do you do that, and whats the result?
-
MasterMason,
You can put it in whole but I like to cut an onion in half or quarters and just mix it in with the lump so it will burn with the lump for a longer period of time. The aroma is wonderful and when doing an overnighter and being mixed in with a few wood chunks drive em wild.
WHAT ARE YOU COOKING??????????????????????? Pretty soon they were askin me to cook for them.[p]Try the onion in the lump on any cook and see what your nose tells you. LOL[p]Cheers,
New Bob

Funny you should ask, MasterMason. A week ago I received an e-mail from the treasurer of our neighborhood association reminding us all of the upcoming meeting, which was last night. I sent a "Reply all" message saying I was going to smoke some salmon and would anyone like some, etc., etc. as I need some extra money for my husband's birthday present. SIXTY pounds later I'm not really interested in salmon...! JCA

MasterMason,[p]Whenever I cook, I always make more than necessary. The guys at my body shop, can't wait till the day after I cook. They devour any leftovers I have. At the 10:00 am break, the microwave is warming and the whole shop smells like BBQ---See-Yaa
