Table for the egg

Haven't bought the egg yet. I am building a table with the BGE large table plans. I am using cypress wood. Now for the question: Do I do nothing and let the cypress age with the weather (under back porch), seal it, paint it, or stain it?

If you want the aged look, do nothing. I use Thompsons Water Seal once a year to keep mine looking nice. The Thompsons also keeps grease from soaking into the wood.

Some paint, some seal. Depends on the look you want. I recommend marine spar, I think it holds up better than deck sealers.
A cover goes a long way in protection. -

This table is two years old, never covered or inside.
Min-Wax "Helmsman" brand polyurethane marine spar varnish in satin finish is what is on it
