My wife has a butcher shop near her office, so she stopped on the way home and bought a whole (9 pound) brisket. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit in my medium Egg,

Should I cut the brisket in half? Any other suggestions?

We're both very excited about the burnt ends...

Might be able to prop with beer can in the middle until
it shrinks enough to lay flat.

Edit: rib V rack would work also

I did a 9# on my medium. Draped it over a large juice can at the start. Did block the airflow some, and I had to have the vents wider than usual. After awhile it shrank enough to lay flat, and I needed to close the vents down as the temp climbed up toward 300.
  • What the other guys said, but I also saw Bubba Tim wrap a brick in foil and use that to make an overly large brisket fit better.
