Anyone use Stubbs brand lump charcoal?

I've been trying to find some recent reviews on this stuff cause Lowes has it on sale for $5/15lb bag. I normally buy Royal Oak but was wondering if this stuff is worth it or not.

The Lowe's here only has the briquets on sale. Make sure it is lump if you want lump. There was a post earlier this week about mistaking the Stubb's briquets for lump.

Darn. I just checked the site and it looks like it's briquets that's on sale. Uggh. I was about to fill up the back of my truck.

If the briquettes are 100% (no fillers) lump it may work just fine. It might be worth getting one bag and giving it a try.

It looks like Lowes out here is moving from Cowboy to Stubbs. Walmart doesn't stock RO year around so if we haven't built up our winter stock things get a little dicey.

I think Stubbs briquettes are made by Cowboy.

That would make sense as far as sourcing products for a company.

A few years back I was given a bag of 'farmers or ranchers' ( I think was the name) that were briquettes and supposed 100% lump. I never did use them.
