So I had the chance to use it a couple times... So far it gets the thumbs-up. Amazing airflow without stirring or cleaning on a second and third cook.
Only downside is you do end up with more ash on the bottom, because it falls through more readily. Also, some of the small pieces of charcoal will fall through. I don't mind as long as it means better airflow.
I bought one of their "high heat" gaskets with the adhesive as well. I'll report on that soon.
