Brisket and Butt at the same time?

I am going to be doing a brisket and butt at the same time this weekend and was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice that a rookie such as myself may not think about. I am going to do a 7lb butt and will try and get a flat about the same size.....

Any advice or direction would be much appreciated!!

    fat down on the brisket, porkbutt on raised rack above it, brisket is down usually an hour or two faster for me. i let the pork drip on the brisket and my pork butts have most of the fat removed ahead of time
