How to get the Hottest Temp??
Comments
-
Mike Anderton,
Lid closed, fully open the bottom vent and do not use the daisy wheel top. Just let 'er rip. After about 15 minutes, you should be darn near lava with blue flames coming out the top (if it's dark, you'll see what I mean). This should get you in the 1000+ range.[p]Being a newbie, make notes of the vent openings (both top & bottom) and the temps that these openings result in. Once you chronicle the different combinations and the resulting temps, you will be able to light the egg and immediately set the vent openings AND THEN begin with the cook hydration - LOL[p]Banker John

Mike Anderton,
Please be sure you know and understand the flashback effect that can happen at high temps. Here is a link to the Naked Whiz's page on it.[p]Good Luck,
New Bob
