Cajun Spice as a rub?
BluesnBBQ
Posts: 615
I made jambalaya last night, and I was too lazy to mix my own cajun spice mix. So I bought some (I for get what brand) to use. The spice mixture has a lot of the same ingredients bbq rubs have - salt, pepper, paprika, etc. I'm going to try mixing some with turbanido sugar and use it as a rub for pulled pork. I think this might work well. I'll post results (I'm cooking pulled pork for my father, who's visiting from overseas, this Thursday).

BluesnBBQ,
your on the right track, you may wanna incorporate a little dry mustard and a pinch of cumin.
