Ok. I m going back to this Costco natural
charcoal thing. Went back and of course they
were out! Asked for ETA? Shrugged shoulders.
If I wanted that response I would turn on the
10 pm weather here in good ol Texas !

When it comes to charcoal, I recently purchased several 17.5lb bags of GrillMates from Ace Hardware at 9.99/bag. I did a quick search on it and it seems that it is re-branded RO. It has inconsistent sizes, but did very well with the 15.5/hr pulled pork (first long cook time with this product). There is another grocery chain in my area that has it's own brand that is also re-branded RO but seems to be have pieces of a more consistent size.

I have also found that if I don't get enough of the "good stuff" at the beginning of the season I may have to resort to going to the local Lowes or Home Depot and getting Cowboy - but only if it is an emergency.
