They just don't know

I was at Lowe's a little while ago and walking through the gasser area I heard this lady telling her hubby that she loved this one. She was talking about a new gasser they were about to purchase. I wanted so much to go over and tell her to go to her local Egg dealer before buying the gas grill. But then I would have had to explain for the next hour why the Egg is much better than what she was about to buy even costing more than the Egg. Oh well, "They just don't know". [p]Jerry

Jwirlwind,[p]Yep, I know exactly what you are talking about. I run into thse folks at Costco all the time and then I tell em about the Texas Eggfest and that they could come on out and wait at least till they've tried some egg food. I'm sure Costco does not appreciate that, but hey, I used to be one of those guys looking at the big stainless gassers. I even bought one and then took it back 3 months later before I converted to Eggism. Now I'm out proselytizing Eggism whenever I see someone looking at the gassers. The eggfest is the best way to win converts![p]Cheers,[p]GrillMeister

Jwirlwind, I was in BBQ Galore this weekend, walking out with two bags of lump and some need tools and some Bone Sucking sauce. Outside they had a gasser with a chicken cookin and a Weber with something else. I asked how do customers like what they cook. They said they cant feed the customers what they cook. They can only look and smell. In the rear when I left I could here someone mention "whats the green thingy" they responded " its just a $600 smoker" They really dont get it!

  • Jwirlwind, i know the feeling- it hurts to see people waste their money on something that they have to replace in a few years, but i know their thinking (most of them): they just want to turn on a knob & wait til it's hot & then burn the "h..k" out of it til its "done"
these people have no concept of good food, and that's the reason they will eat out often & be satified with average tasting food.
    WE KNOW BETTER :>))
