<p />Look at all those beautiful eggs, along with Polyvinyl (or is that mollyvinyl?) and our gracious hosts, Tonia and Larry fading away in the sunset! What do you mean this doesn’t look right! OK, so I put a new backdrop in the photo. This is what you have to do when the background is overexposed in the original <g>. We spent several days in St. Augustine after the fest and this is one of my shots from there.
This was our first eggfest and it was pretty remarkable. The food was tremendous and plentiful and we met a lot of very fine people. Thank you, Bryan, for letting me use your new BGE to cook the salmon. And, thank all of you who took the time to compliment my ‘cook’. It was pretty nerve-wracking cooking something in the midst of such accomplished and experienced eggers, but we all survived and all ended well. I’m going to cook some ribs soon and look forward to using the new BBQ sauce you gave me, Kelly.
A special thank you to Tonia and Larry for all the time and effort and expense you contributed. We were very impressed.
We look forward to seeing all of you who trek to Atlanta this October.
John

Hi John,[p]I truly enjoyed sharing a spot under the pavillion next to you. If you feel you are not an accomplished egger, you could've fooled me. My father in law is still talking about the salmon (I keep telling him that it tastes better when it is caught on hook & line instead of at Publix) LOL.[p]Thanks for cooking a few of the shrimp for me; they tasted great too (thanks to www.DizzyPigBBQ.com)[p]I look forward to the opportunity to share a meal off the egg with you again (hopefully, sooner than later.) Look me up when in Citrus County next time -(888) 4-FLA-LOAN[p]Banker JOhn

egret,[p]You know, I MISSED your salmon. I really wanted to try some, and somehow, with everything going on, I MISSED it![p]Guess that means you have to come back next year! With MORE! Do you think a lady could convince you to bring her some extra to put into her freezer at home???[p]Cool bit of computer editing on the pic! Glad you enjoyed the Fest.[p]Tonia

    QBabe,
So sorry you missed the salmon. I missed a lot of things myself. There were just way too many items to even think of having a taste of each. I'll check my freezer and see if I can see anything with your name on it.........

    Banker John,
I enjoyed your company as well. You inspired me to try making pizza, which I did last night. It was wonderful. I don't understand how things cooked on the egg can come out tasting so much better than conventional oven-cooking. I don't think it's my imagination!? <g>.
Those wild salmon are better than those mushy little fat things you get at the grocery store. But, they should be better at about $200/lb.!
Hope you can make it to Atlanta this year.......
