External eSATA hard drive

I have an external eSATA hard drive that seems to go to sleep and then takes forever to wake back up. I went into power settings and it appears there is just one setting for all hard drives as to how long a drive has to be idle before it goes to sleep. Does this sound right? You can't do it for each drive separately?
