A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers.

The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?'

The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'

    I was at a bar beside a TX Ranger a few years back. We started talking and said they were sent to AZ to help the Arizona guys shore up the border. He asks me what I was doing and I told him I was working at a local plant. We talked for a while about his stuff and then it dawned on me. I said wait a second here, I have a US work visa.

    I didn't think you can chamber a .45 long colt in a semi-automatic. How fast can you empty 7 rounds and reload with your revolver?

    I'm no one to talk though. I shoot a 9mm Luger. :blush:
