Morning All:[p]As promised here are the recipes for the two items I did on Saturday at the EggFest. [p]One was a "Sausage & Cheese Pastry Roll"[p]1 loaf frozen bread dough
1 pound sausage
1 pound cheese (chedder)
1 egg[p]Thaw frozen bread dough, let double, punch down and roll out dough as large as you can (usually about 12" x 15") Cook sausage thouroughly. In large bowl mix sausage, egg and grated cheese. Spread mixture on top of dough and roll up like a jelly roll. Bake in bundt pan at 350F for about 40 minutes (until bread is golden brown). Remove from pan by inverting on a plate, brush with butter, slice and serve.[p]Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get a picture before it all disappeared.[p]
The second was a variation of a recipe I first saw posted by MadMax (link below). I used peaches and blueberries instead of apples. The pic is all that is left by the time I could get the camera out of my pocket.[p]Crisp-EggFest.jpg[p]I also want to thank Tonia & Larry for coordinating the EggFest, GREAT JOB! Next year we will have to make sure we can make the whole weekend, instead of just a few hours on Saturday like this time. However I did make sure I "broke in" my new Large properly by doing sixty ABTs Saturday evening at my son's 27th birthday party. Also, may have "sold" a few Eggs as everyone at the party was asking many questions about the Egg.[p]Have a GREAT day!

SSN686,[p]Man-o-man what a good mix that was. Luckily, you took the picture when you did. I think Trouble (maybe it was me)was caught licking the dish. The excuse was that it had to be cleaned, didn't it?[p]Enjoyed meeting you and yours Saturday. Everyone was so into enjoying a good day with good eatin'.[p]See ya next year![p]Cajun

    SSN686,
Sausage and cheese roll sound right up my alley. I imagine you could do a different bunch of varieties.[p]Mike

    Cajun,
Yup (on maybe it was you). But that was truly one of the best dishes I've ever tasted in the non-carnivore category.[p]Trouble
