band placement question

I recently replaced my gasket on the large EGG, and I just had a question about the placement of the bands. the bottom band is set on the bottom ledge, and most of the top band is set up against the top ledge, however I can't seem to get the back of the top band to stay in place. It hangs pretty low in the back. It opens fine and I tightened the bands to the recommended torque and did the dollar test which seems fine also. Am I ok, or should I readjust my bands?
thanks for any help

As long as the dollar test shows you have a good seal, that's really all that matters...and that the bands are tight enough that the dome wont fall out..

i like the top band to sit as high as it possibly can, seems thats the one most prone to loosen over time. i pry the bands at the hinge area to get them up higher when tightening and will tap the dome down intermittently while tightening and keeping pressure on the pry bar at the hingefukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

thank you for everyone's input. Another question, are the top and bottom supposed to line up exactly the entire way around the EGG? It seems that on one side of the EGG the lid sits flush with the bottom, but on the opposite side it is a little off. Is this normal? or should I do some readjusting all together?
Thanks again guys. This forum is very helpfulFighting Sioux Hockey -
Sorry, one more question...should the hinge look like an upside down L, or like a regular L..my buddies is like a regular L, and his closes a lot better and tighter.. thanks againFighting Sioux Hockey
