I didn't realize that cameras now had 'smell' and and 'taste' features. I could sure smell and taste that.
I'll keep my smeller and taster ready for some more shots.

It sure looks like you know how to use it! Those are some fine looking pics.
Can you share some details on those short ribs in the first couple of pics. They look incredible!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
nice. i wish i had a decent camera. nice to have a fast enough lens and all that there's no need for flash. your closeups look great, flash woulda ruined them (like it ruins half of mine).ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante

You either know how to use it better than you think, or you got lucky a bunch of times. I can almost taste that food. Common lunch time....hurry up, I'm starving.

Great pictures, Jason! Is that first pic those Italian short ribs you were going to cook? I would love that recipe.

took these tonight with mixed opinions on my part. something is still not right....

I bought the same camera about a month ago, maybe actually a few months ago, now that I think about it, and I LOVE IT!!! It's just superb! You made a great choice, and the pictures you took feeling like you didn't know what you were doing are GREAT! Just keep experimenting, trying different things. One of the great things about digital cameras is the film is free ('cuz there ain't none)! It costs you nothing to keep shooting pictures.
One thing to look into, if you are willing, is the RAW option. I had NO idea what a big difference it would make. If you don't like messing with stuff on the computer, don't bother. But I set up a tripod and took exactly the same photo a whole bunch of different ways, and I was very surprised at how big a difference shooting them in RAW format makes. But I use Photoshop all the time, and it was fun fooling around in Adobe's "Camera RAW," and if none of that sounds like fun to you, don't worry about it.
Great job! Enjoy the camera!

Do you have windows in the way of putting a roof over some of your deck? It's a nice detail.
