My NEW BGE

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
I ordered my extra large Big Green Egg today. I'm so excited. Now for the bad news, they can't deliver it until next Friday, whatever will I do?[p]I look forward to taking part in this forum, I've been reading it since last Autumn when I first saw the BGE. It took me all this time to decide to take the plunge. I hope it lives up to it's reputation. [p]My first experiance with it will be standing rib roast for Easter dinner. I CAN'T WAIT!![p]FrankP

    Peace...

  • FrankieP,your life will NEVER be the same...welcome to the club....You will be amazed .....

  • FrankieP,
I hope you enjoy your Egg as much as everyone here does.
It is another world cooking on the Egg. To me, I love to experiment with the Egg, setting temps, trying different ideas using your own brain. lol Before you get your Egg, get out and purchase a few bags of lump. You will find many ideas here but when all is done, you will find your taste and what you like best as a rub or seasoning. I have found I like to keep my food as simple as I can and not use so much seasoning. The taste of the meat and the way the Egg makes it taste. To each their own. [p]Jerry

  • Hey, Thanks for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. I've been bbqin for years on an ooooold Brinkman smoker. I do weekend projects, briskets, ribs, turkeys, ducks, sausages and on and on. I love starting a bbq early in the morning, and then inviting friends over to hang out and eat (and sometimes drink). I seem to be pretty successful so far. I'm really looking forward to my "egg"![p]Thanks again.[p]Frank
