    B Franklin,
Yes. But perhaps you could be more specific. As far as I know, you can do pretty much anything on the small as the large, just less of it. However, don't sell the small short. It can cook quite a bit of food if you do a couple of pork butts, for example.[p]TNW

The Naked Whiz,[p]When you do 2 butts on the small, do you stack them on top of one another?[p]Also, did you have to reload with fuel at the halfway point?

    The Naked Whiz,
Amen. Part of the fun of the small is the lack of accessories - no plate setter, etc. - as well as figuring out how to best fit food on the grill. (Okay, so maybe my idea of "fun" isn't widely shared...)[p]Ken

Ken, I think "challenge" is the word you were looking for.[p]I've found that two split firebricks lying flat make for a great indirect setup on the Small.[p]Cheers,[p]TRex

    Mark Backer,
Hey Todd, I had to put my two 7.5 lb ones on their side and I think you should be able to go 18 - 20 hrs if need be without reload, but I'm not sure about that because the only time I did low n slo my gasket was not the best in the world.

TRex,[p]BGE sells a 9" deep dish pizza pan that works FANTASTIC as a "plate setter". We started with the split firebricks, but when we found this, abandoned them. It's also dual function. I line the inside of the deep dish with foil and it works for a drip pan also.[p]Tonia

Ken,[p]He might have, but he's already 3 hrs down the road! He just called me from his cell phone to let me know he's on his way. It was 40° and sleeting there. [p]He's really looking forward to some nice Florida weather. His sister is already in Pensacola (she left early today) and was bragging that it was 70° there. She will finish the trip to the park tomorrow. She really sounds like a character. We've been emailing back and forth for awhile and I'm looking forward to meeting her.[p]Can't wait to see you guys![p]Tonia

Hey QBabe, I wuz just looking at your post about leaving out and thought "What a Gal". I am sure though your work is greatly appreciated. No, we couldn't get it together what with moving our office and getting all that it involved back in place and working properly. But I did email my Cousin and Uncle in Orlando to try and get them to attend. Last name is Rowe. If he comes, I sent him. Enjoy and hope to meet ya at one of these things soon.

  • QBabe,[p]We haven't even picked up Lennie (the new small) yet and he's already shopping for eggcessories. And he says I have an over-active shopping gene???? [p]See you tomorrow with filets in hand.[p]Diana

B Franklin, Listen to Q Babe. Small is a great cooker. I would go with the 9 inch deep dish pan (foiled to catch drips) and 3, Three inch kiln posts to lift second grid. You can also lay kiln posts on their sides and you have a raised grid at about 1 inch higher than normal. No need to worry about zinc nuts and bolts and their certain deleteritous effect. You could also put foil between laid down posts and do a lot of things such as a 10 or 12 pound turkey. I wish I could give you photos but my camera is in fog mode lately. Doubt this makes any sense. Wife would certainly agree I'm in incommunicato mode. Good luck
