<p />Chef Wil, LOL at twice your age I know what you mean! BTW I used the 12" hinges to secure a 18 x 24 laminated cutting board which I use for a work area - not a cutting board. I thought about re-enforcing the 6" which doesn't have the bracket for support but after 4 years of use there hasn't been a problem of warp or anything - besides in our climate the wood needs to move - HTH

I did mine using regular hinges and another hinged 1x4 that locks in place for support.[p]Mike
