    FatBack,
    Lookin' good.
    What was the injection?

  • jake42, Thanks !!! This one was injected with a basic pork marinade recipe I found in a BBQ book. I don't recall all the ingredients, but just look in your BBQ books and mix and match and come up with your own marinade that suits your taste preference. Peace...

FatBack,[p]I guess I'll have to give you credit when I bring home a brisket to do this weekend and blame you for being so hungry an hour or so before lunch. Actually I think I'll go to lunch now I am so hungry from those photos. Great looking food, thanks for sharing. [p]Chuck
  • Sorry, I meant to say that it was a basic "beef" recipe that I found in a BBQ book, I got pork on the brain because that is what I'm injecting and cooking this weekend. Peace.

FatBack,[p]that rumble you just heard was my stomach.[p]Awesome. And to think I just have a plain old sandwich to eat at lunch.[p]Looking forward to telling my wife on the weekend when she asks "what are you doing"? I will say "making my lunches for next week!!!" lol

jerseymatt,[p]I buy my briskets, butts and assorted other meats at Bringhurst Meats (see link) in Berlin. I usually call ahead for the brisket to get an untrimmed one. They have a lot of good meats there as well as some unusual stuff to try if you are a little daring. The ostrich is pretty good. Oh and don't forget to pick up some of their bacon, I like the peppered bacon, it's really good.[p]I think I am doing a couple of butts over a brisket this weekend as well as some pork ribs at some poit too. So yes, it will smell good in South Jersey this weekend.
