BGE and cold weather

Hi everyone,[p]First, what an awesome site. Such devotion, and well earned by the sounds of it.[p]I am just about to take the plunge into the world of BGE. Living in Toronto and enjoying a bbq in the dead cold of winter with a BGE worries me. Will it hold the temp? I would hate to think that I would miss out. Bad enough the pool looks nice with an ice topping.[p]The upside is, my beer stays cold!![p]Of course if it is really really cold outside, then I will send my wife out!! Joking. I will teach the kids to get it warmed up, so that I can cook when I get home from work. Better yet, they can learn the low and slow and I can eat when I get home!![p]Looking forward to your comments.[p]Thanks in advance.[p]Bryan[p]Toronto eh

Egg_eh,
Being from Atlanta I have no idea what you are referring to, but I have seen plenty of pictures with the egg melting the snow around it nicely.[p]It's thick ceramic.

Egg_eh,
Yea, one of the characteristics of the egg is it's ability to cook in very cold weather, eh. I bake bread at -12 outside temp. The egg laughs at the cold eh.[p]Hey, your south of me so if I can cook in the eye of winter, so can you. Your gonna love it, eh.[p]----Hope you join us. )[p]Clay Q

Egg_eh,
My Brother-in-Law got me involved with the BGE and he lives in Toronto and cooks year round. The weather is not a problem![p]jake

You just need to keep the path clear, my friend. The egg will be fine.

Egg_eh,
A few weeks back I did a low & slow pork butt overnight when the temp reached -10 F. The egg used a little more fuel than I am used to, but held the temp perfectly. Cold is definitely not an issue.

Egg_eh,[p]Thanks everyone!![p]My wife and I are checking things out this afternoon, so ...[p]
