EggFest in Texas?

Had dinner the other night with a friend from the Dallas area I haven't seen in years. 'Course, had to tell him about my new Egg and what it can do. He's using a gas/water smoker of some description and was interested to know whether my boasts can be backed up. Unfortunately, he had to fly back or I would have had him over for a feast.[p]Is there an 'Eggfest'-type BBQ competition or get together in the Dallas region anytime this year? I'd send him there with his knife, fork and bib. Once he tastes the food, bet he'd buy an Egg for sure and, like me, wonder where the Egg had been all his life.[p]Thanks,[p]DD

DobieDad,[p]The Texas Eggfest in Austin on Lake Travis will be well worth the drive. We had over 100 folks attend last years event and I'm sure we'll have that many and more this year.[p]It's just a short drive down I-35 and there are lots of places to stay in the area.[p]Cheers,[p]GrillMeister
