Steak bits on a salt block

Got the idea from Mark Bitterman, owner of the salt purveyor The Meadow http://www.atthemeadow.com

Heated my salt block to 450 and dropped some thin pieces of steak on. Mark recommended flank steak; I used top sirloin. I think just about any piece of cow will work.

Just drop the pieces of unseasoned raw steak on the heated salt block; cook for 20 seconds to 1 minute per side turning once.

Eat.

It was a OMG moment for me. THIS is how I want my steak to taste.

No pictures - I was too busy eating.
