    METROFIRE,
That would be the Biltmore Estate of Egg housing built by the one and only very talented WessB.[p]Here is a link to that page with all the pictures. I'm sure he will provide whatever info he can to help you along, he's cool like that.

WessB, would you please include me when sending him that cutout info? I still have the old style hinges on my eggs, but am building a cart for sale and need to know how many inches to allow for the spring hibges. A BIG THANK YOU!

    RRP,
The diameter of the circle will be relative to how far down in the table one would want the egg to sit....you can see in my pictures I have mine sitting where the lower lip is just barely above the table top..so I would think that the opening I cut for the hinge would be as large as ever necessary.....on a further note...not all of the spring hinges are the same, I have 2 hinges for the small egg and they are different dimensions....When I measure the opening I cut I will also include the measurements of my spring assembly, if yours is different you may have to adjust accordingly...[p]Wess

WessB, I can handle the calculation of the diameter needed - once I know the distance from the lip to the top of the table so that when the dome is open then the hinge won't hit. Also the depth of the hinge assembly and width. I'd appreciate it!
