<p />Tri-tip is on at 325 indirect, I'm going for that pit beef. Will pull off at 130 let rest, then slice thin. This is covered with Santa Maria Beef Seasoning. I picked it up at Santa Calagon Days in Indepence, MO last year. The guy was serving some really sandwiches.[p]Thanks for all the suggestions.[p]CWM

  • Car Wash Mike, here is the tequila tri-tip recipe for next time.
    1/2 cup fresh lime juice
    1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup tequila plus extra for the magaritas
    6 cloves garlic finely chopped
    2 teaspoons lime zest
    2 teaspoons ground cumin
    2 teaspoons dried oregano
    1 teaspoon ground pepper
    2 2pound tri-tips
whisk all ingredients in bowl. Pierce meat and place in bag with marinade and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. Grill away!

backyard bbq,[p]Looks good! Are you adding any rub on the meat before the cook or are you just marinating the meat and throwing it on the grill????
